It’s kind of everywhere - both in plants and in cosmetic products. It’s part of 200 natural oils including lavender, ylang-ylang, bergamot, jasmine, geranium and it can be found in 90-95% of prestige perfumes on the market. You can usually find it right in the very first spot of the ingredient list, meaning it’s the biggest thing out of all the stuff that makes up the product. A lightweight, leave-in treatment, uses a blend of Shea and Cupuaçu Butter to help defend against heat and humidity, smoothing hair while maintaining body and movement.
So, over the past six weeks, I’ve been making my way through most of Colleen Rothschild’s best-sellers (see my full post here), and I’m smitten with just about all of them. Let’s talk about that Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum for a sec, though. Made with mandelic acid (a gentle alpha hydroxy acid), it’s probably one of the more — technical?
(If she ever comes out with a perfume I will be all in.) The body oil is incredibly moisturizing — it cleans without making your skin feel tight and dry, and the scrub helps to slough off dead skin cells. I’ve never used a body scrub that leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth before. And the body butter is super-rich and hydrates all day with just a little bit of product.
Those must-have products are part of a nighttime regimen that I now look forward to instead of dread. I wash my face with the Radiant Cleansing Balm, apply the retinol serums (see above) and finish with the Extreme Recovery Cream (a highly moisturizing cream that’s perfect to use at night). I also love using the Clarifying Detox Mask about once a week to get a really deep clean without drying out my face. And when my skin is really dry (hello, winter!), I’ll use the Intense Hydrating Mask and just leave it on overnight for extra hydration. I’ll whittle it down to one of my favorites — the Sheer Renewal Cream.

Also, works well to fill in fine lines and wrinkles and give skin a plump look (of course that is only temporary, but still, it's nice). There are also scar treatment gels out there using dimethicone as their base ingredient. It helps to soften scars and increase their elasticity.
Was the line (which seems quite expensive) an add-on to the hair products or did it come first? The thing is, I get that reference because there’s a brand of fly/wasp repellent (called RAID I think in a blue can) that does share a couple of notes of the fragrance. It’s not as crazy as you think, because I remember using the spray in the summer and thinking that’s a nice scent for such an unpleasant product. I’m super sensitive to fragrance, but even I think it’s absolutely fine, but be warned it is strong.

My number struggle when post-showering is detangling my hair. Thanks to my extensions I have a lot of it and if I don’t do a good job conditioning it can very easily turn into a tangled lion’s mane. It’s not a good look and an absolute nightmare to comb out. Because I don’t wash my hair everyday I’m very selective about the products I use in the shower. Basically if I’m going to put a mask or serum on my hair when it’s damp it HAS to be good because it’s going to be in my hair at least 3-4 days. I mean, it’s hard to narrow down what I love from Colleen Rothschild because — let’s be honest — I’m not getting any younger over here.

I had just had Greenlea, my first, and I was just so freaking tired — I didn’t want to go through a whole process, I just wanted to sleep. Also, if your skin is sensitive, fragrance is again not your best friend. It’s the number one cause of contact allergy to cosmetics. It’s definitely a smart thing to avoid with sensitive skin (and fragrance of any type - natural is just as allergic as synthetic, if not worse!).
Shana and some members of the team have been hooked on Colleen Rothschild Beauty for quite some time and now…they’ve got me hooked, too. It’s good guys (and I’ve tried a bunch of fancy skincare!!). If I had to choose a current fav though, I’d say it’s the Complete Eye Cream. After long days staring at my computer, I was starting to notice some serious bags & dark circles — after a few solid weeks of use, I see an improvement.

The oil coming from the seeds of the Moringa tree, a big white-flowered tree native to India. It's rich in nourishing and moisturizing fatty acid, oleic (75%) and also contains behenic acid (up to 8%) that makes moringa very stable and gives the oil a long shelf life. Thanks to all the above goodness in argan oil, it can greatly nourish and moisturize the skin and hair. It's also claimed to be able to neutralize collagen-damaging free radicals, help reduce scars, and revitalize and improve skin elasticity. You can even read that argan might help acne-prone skin, but being a high oleic oil, we would be careful with that. Unless you live under a rock you must have heard about shea butter.

As for the hair the hydration effect is also true there. Panthenol might make your hair softer, more elastic and helps to comb your hair more easily. My Morning Skincare Regimen
One of the products I rarely buy but absolutely need is eye serum. When I use it consistently, I absolutely see smoother skin around my eyes and I love that it’s thick enough it doesn’t slide around all over my face. In a normal year, I adore it for travel and just leave all the great items in my travel bag ready to go. Right now though, it’s perfect if you haven’t tried the products and want to sample a variety of them!
So, argan oil comes from the kernel of the argan fruit that comes from the argan tree that grows only in Morocco. The tree is slow growing and getting the oil is a hard job. The traditional process is that the ripe argan fruits fall from the tree, then goats eat them up and poop out the seeds. The seeds are collected and smashed with a stone to get the kernels inside. This part is the hard one as the seeds have extremely hard shells.
There are some products that you just can’t live without–these are mine. Retinoids encourage cell turnover to increase collagen production — to actually decrease wrinkles, plump your skin and fade dark spots. The eye serum is crazy moisturizing and helps to counteract the look of wrinkled and stressed eyes brought upon by age and environmental factors — um, yes, please. The oil refines skin tone and texture, fights age spots, and improves dullness. I am on my umpteenth bottle of both, and if I had to choose just two products to start with, these would be them. I know EVERYONE at TME has already been raving about the Radiant Cleansing Balm for years now, but I finally tried it and now completely understand the hype.
It promotes new cell turnover to help minimize those annoying little lines and wrinkles. As for me, I have rosacea — cleansing my face is very important but I have to be very gentle. I LOVE smearing the cleansing balm on my face and letting it do its job, then gently wiping it; it always leaves my skin smooth and clean. Hair-wise, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but my hair is in the borderline of wavy and curly, and keeping it hydrated and restored from the heat styling is a must. I started using the Colleen Rothschild restorative mask recently and love it so far.

Attorney Trey Brice told board members that almost none of the backyard features would exceed that height, and many had been dropped to 10 feet to please the zoning honchos.
